SISTER OUTSIDER Feminist-Antiracist Voices on International Women's Day

Event   March 8, 2025, 10:00 – 14:00

According to Audre Lorde, it is not our differences that hold us back, but our silence. From an intersectional perspective, we will read and discuss texts by Black authors that draw connections in the struggle against racist and patriarchal structures. Based on our collective reading, we will draft slogans and posters with which we will then take part in the feminist anti-racist rally in the market square.

The workshop will be led by Fabienne Mahwane Gretschel. Her work as a moderator, lawyer and consultant for anti-racism and anti-discrimination is informed by her love of literature, especially by BIPoC and queer authors.

The workshop is aimed at youths aged 14 and up, students, and adults. Text and DIY materials, as well as snacks and drinks, will be provided.

The event is taking place as part of the Lüneburg Weeks Against Racism and in cooperation with the equal opportunities officer of the Hanseatic City of Lüneburg.
