INTERMISSION I
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Halle für Kunst Lüneburg, we turn to the past as much as to the future. At a key moment in the Kunstverein’s history, we want to slow down in order to develop sustainable and collaborative perspectives for cultural practices. This involves loosening the rhythm of exhibitions and inserting intermissions into the programme, during which the institution is activated through bodily, literary, performative, and sonic interventions. During the first intermission, we invite you to cast off the pressures of productivity and efficiency and explore other forms of temporal perception and communality.

NON-PRODUCTIVE READERS
The reading group engages in informal discussions about art, cultural theory and experimental writing. Initiated by Bryony Dawson in 2022, the group loosely explores modes of passivity, ambivalence, failure and refusal as vital aspects of creative and institutional practice. No prior knowledge or background in art or cultural theory is required—only a motivation to read and think with others. Lurking listeners are always welcome.
The first session is dedicated to Jean-Luc Nancy’s lyrical meditation on Listening. To receive the reading material, please register at: readinggroup@halle-fuer-kunst.de

UNPRODUCTIVE WILL
This workshop is based on a body-implicated research project by Jimena Pérez Salerno. The project prompts us to revisit our relationship with the hegemonic-western notion of linear time and productive behavior, considering them as collective colonial wounds that inform the paths we tread. In a playful way, a score will be shared for a ‘never-ending’ warm-up that seeks to create an experience of political awareness.
The workshop is open to people of different ages, languages and abilities. To join the workshop, please register at: info@halle-fuer-kunst.de
